Media Release: TENS OF THOUSANDS OF JOBS TO GO – O'FARRELL TO SLASH SERVICES IN SEPTEMBER BUDGET

The O'Farrell Government is planning to cut tens of thousands of jobs across the State as part of the September budget - ripping the guts out of local health, education and emergency services.

"The O'Farrell Government has flagged it plans to cut tens of thousands of jobs in health, primary industries, education and emergency services," Opposition Leader John Robertson said.

"Cutting tens of thousands of job cuts will rip the guts out of healthcare, education, the Police Force and other vital services in NSW.

"The Premier has put word out of up to 80,000 job cuts to soften the ground for when the final figure comes in at less than that.

Media release: O'FARRELL'S LAWS WORSE THAN WORKCHOICES

This is the media release from the Opposition on Barry O'Farrell's NSW Workchoices laws:
The O'Farrell Government will have unprecedented powers to slash wages and conditions for nurses, teachers and police under new laws introduced in the NSW Parliament.

Opposition Leader John Robertson said the proposed changes are worse than the Howard Government's WorkChoices laws.

"The Premier has outdone John Howard and Peter Costello with this unprecedented attack on the rights at work of nurses, teachers and police," he said.

"Barry's O'Farrell's bill is worse than WorkChoices.
