GOVERNMENT COST-CUTTING ENDANGERS SAFETY AND PLATFORM ACCESS FOR ELDERLY AND DISABLED

Ourimbah Station risks losing all staff under the O'Farrell Government's cost-cutting review of RailCorp – which will lead to unsafe stations and no special assistance for the disabled and elderly, Opposition Leader John Robertson said today.

Mr Robertson was joined on a visit to Ourimbah Station today by Penny Sharpe, Shadow Minister for Transport and David Lord of the Central Coast Commuters' Association.

The NSW Labor Opposition has today demanded the O'Farrell Government rule out passing on huge fare increases and axing Parramatta River Cat services as part of the privatisation of Sydney Ferries.

"Transport Minister Gladys Berejiklian needs to take a stand and rule out huge fare increases and cuts to the Parramatta River Cat services today," Shadow Transport Minister, Penny Sharpe said.

O'FARRELL MUST RULE OUT PRIVATISING COUNTRYLINK
REGIONS FACE FARE INCREASES AND SERVICE CUTS

The NSW Labor Opposition has today demanded the O'Farrell Stoner Government rule out privatising CountryLink rail services to fund other projects in Sydney as part of its cost cutting review of RailCorp.

The O'Farrell Stoner Government is considering a report by Infrastructure Partnerships Australia that recommends the immediate sell off CountryLink to the private sector as part of its cost cutting review of RailCorp.
