Terms and Conditions for Red Leather

If you need my assistance with any matter and/or if you’re interested in the way the political process works and genuinely trying to change the world for the better, welcome. If you’re looking for rumour, internal Labor gossip, slander, or talking out-of-school, sorry, you’ve come to the wrong place.

Leave a comment as often as you would like but please be nice to others commenting here, and to everyone reading. I am interested in your opinion and ideas as are the other readers of this blog. Nobody, however is interested in reading sexist, racist, homophobic, defamatory, inciteful, irrelevant or otherwise offensive commentary and I reserve the right to edit or delete any inappropriate comments. No correspondence will be entered into on the subject.

When you leave a comment, or participate in an online forum, you may do so anonymously or pseudonymously, but you must leave a valid email address. This is a measure to stop abuse of the system by spammers and also part of the aim of running a transparent political website.

In posting comments on Red Leather, my blog, you agree to :

• Use the comments feature solely for the purpose of replying to blog entries and other comments posted, and for no other purpose
• Stay 'on-topic' and not deviate or distract from the topic by introducing comments, themes, intents or other communications that are not appropriate to the nature and spirit of the blog entry
• Refrain from inappropriate, abusive, vulgar, defamatory or offensive language, including threats, harrassment, profanity, slander, racial or sexual vilification, or deliberate insults
• Refrain from posting any content that is knowingly false or misleading
• Refrain from posting any content that is an infringement of another person's privacy, or another material which is a violation of any applicable laws
• Refrain from posting any pornographic content, or content not suitable for anyone under 18 years old
• Refrain from posting HTML or any other code, script language, cookies or any other programmatic or scripting device

The comments facility on Red Leather is not to be used for any of the following :

• Commercial advertisements
• Requests for money, including fundraising requests
• Soliciting business of any kind
• Soliciting participation in any clinical or experimental trial or research study
• Soliciting membership for any political party or other organisation, public private or otherwise

Protect your privacy

Remember that your comments open to the public online, and anyone can read them. Don't post your address, phone number, or any other contact details about yourself or any other person apart from your own email address and/or a website address (URI/URL). Your email address is never displayed in the comments area.

Reviewing and publishing comments

The Administrators of the Penny Sharpe MLC website retain the right to review all comments before they are published, and will publish comments at their discretion.

Right of removal and denial

If any content is found to be in breach of the above terms and conditions, it will be removed from the website with no notice given to you. You may also be denied subsequent access to the Red Leather comments facility. Any content that amounts to criminal behaviour will be reported to the police.

The Administrators of the Penny Sharpe MLC website also retain the right to modify or remove any comments at their discretion and with no notice given to you.
